3.6.4. Connect domain to Blogger

Use presets from the group "Google → Blogger".

1. Delete existing records of type A and AAAA.
2. Obtain two CNAME records from Google, each consisting of two parts: the subdomain name (column "Name (Name/Label/Host)") and the destination address (column "Address (Destination/Target/Points To)"):
   • The first entry represents the subdomain specified on the Blogger site and the target address ghs.googlehosted.com.
   • The second entry is unique for each user and is associated with the blog and Google account.
3. Add the two received records with the following data (if the system indicates that a record with the specified subdomain already exists, find and delete it):
   • "Subdomain" — the name of the subdomain from the "Name (Name/Label/Host)" column.
   • "Type" — "CNAME".
   • "Data" — the target address from the column "Address (Destination/Target/Points To)".
4. Wait for the DNS cache update. This usually takes several hours (a maximum of 24).

It is also possible to configure the operation of the site at the main address (without www) by redirecting requests to the site with www. There are two options for how this can be done.

1. Add record with the following data:
   • "Subdomain" — empty.
   • "Type" — "A".
   • "Data" — 91.206.200.43.
2. Enable the direct web redirect and enter the address of your site with www in the "URL for address" field.

1. Add 4 identical records (the only difference will be in the IP address) with the following data:
   • "Subdomain" — empty.
   • "Type" — "A".
   • "Data" — sequentially specify one address from the list for each of the entries:
     • 216.239.32.21
     • 216.239.34.21
     • 216.239.36.21
     • 216.239.38.21
2. In Blogger, in the "Publishing" section, click on "Edit", check the box next to "Redirect example.com to www.example.com" and save the changes.
3. Wait approximately 1 hour for the changes to take effect.
